Marble
We wander in sweet pleasant dreams
Again and again we’re trapped in our minds
Can’t turn our back on the signs in the fields
Can’t fly away or hide in the deepest mines
Even if we had wings we won’t see at all
Because the darkness would keep our eyes
From seeing the clearest lines, big or small
And clouds would appear, and mist might rise
That’d lay down a grey iron veil to cover the land
No eagle eye could read between the lines
No hammer destroy these ancient rocks
No matter how hard or how long we would try
We all would fail and keep the door locked
That is sheltered by a spell and a pair of unseen hands
The chamber protects its secrets eternally
Its gold kept safe by gagged guards
Remain an unknown treasure of prosperity
A curse for curios, greedy, grasping hearts
Still we wander in sweet pleasant dreams
Both of our feet nailed to the ground
Bound to fate, doomed to our destinies
We can’t get out, we can’t get out
