Renewal

Have we forgotten ‘bout love?
Have we traded oceans for lakes?
And mountains for groves?
Where are we when all hope faints?
We wait for the dykes to break
And the rain to join the puddle
And if we are not mistaken
The puddle becomes a river
And the river becomes a lake
And the lake becomes an ocean
Nothing less than love is at stake
When will the dykes break
And lead the way to our dreams?
How can I deny
In the shadows I lie
In the mud I cry
In the shit I pray
We wait for the rain
To wash away our pain
What a great desert is this?
What are these splendid messes?
All these lies, Where’s the light?
